LGBT Organization “Coming Out” shares values of peace and non-violence. Military intervention in another state approved a couple of days ago by the Council of the Federation cannot be considered as peace-keeping activity. If one country sends armed people to kill people in another country – this kind of action has always been called “war”.
In a war the value of human’s life, dignity and rights lose their significance. Moreover, atrocities and violations attendant to the war also take place. The blossom of political dictatorship, economical crisis, violation of international treaties, intended to defend people and their rights – all that develops into personal violence. The violence will concern not only those who participate directly in military operations, but also each and every one of us.
In the 20th century Europe and the whole world had to go through quite harsh times. Didn’t it really teach a lesson to politicians, diplomats and independent international organizations? The death of every individual is the end of one life. The suffering of every person does matter.
We ask for every support possible in order to prevent war.
